Can now drink properly after more than 6 years of throat problems
I visited Victoria for an issue I had been carrying around for over 6 years! I realised that my issue was ‘a little odd’ to say the least, and having had this for so many years, I had come to the conclusion I was now stuck with it for good!
On meeting Victoria, I immediately felt very comfortable in her company. Victoria clearly has a natural ability to connect with people, and her warmth and passion for supporting people really does shine through. She also has a fantastic sense of humour about her, which really put me at ease and made it so much easier to be able to share my issue with her.
In 2003 I had a run in with a Hot Chocolate in a busy office which had left me with the sensation of something stuck in my throat and whenever I was in the company of people I would experience the sensation of not being able to swallow a drink. Having camera tests confirmed there was indeed nothing in my throat, other than a set of large tonsils, which I had always had.
Victoria worked with me I would say for no more than 15 minutes on this particular issue whilst front of me sat an overflowing glass of Pineapple juice, something that would have been an absolute 'no no' to drink, in the presence of others. Well what can I say.. I went to drink and found for the first time in 8 years, that the weird sensation seemed to have left me. I drank the entire glass, stopping half way to declare “I can’t believe it” before carrying on!
Having learnt the skills that Victoria showed me I realise I can apply them to any areas of my life, which for me is priceless! Knowing that I am now in control is an amazing gift. I felt Victoria's response to me having overcome my issue was lovely to see as she was equally as happy as I was and I feel incredibly lucky to have had the good fortune of crossing paths with her.
